cogodot
Real-time, state-managed collaboration for Godot — Google-Docs-style multiplayer editing, built to synergize with Godot Code Studio.

cogodot is real-time, state-managed collaboration for Godot — think Google Docs inside the Godot editor, with large team support.
Planned as the follow-up to Godot Code Studio and built to synergize with it: where GCS upgrades how you edit, cogodot upgrades who you edit with.
The vision
- Real-time multiplayer editing — everyone in the same project state, live
- Git-like versioning in real time — with LFS-style handling for large assets, but cheaper and directly integrated
- Cross-device — pick up your project from any machine, state fully managed
- File storage included — project files stay in sync without a wall of Git LFS invoices
- Large team support — built for teams, not just pair-programming
How it’s built
cogodot goes through a real backend stack and will be offered partly as SaaS — with a free tier, always. Solo devs and small teams shouldn’t have to pay to collaborate; bigger teams get the scale they need.
Status
In planning, development starts after Godot Code Studio ships. Watch this space — or better, sponsor the studio to help it arrive sooner.
