The studio website is live!

studiowebsitemeta

It’s official: Dead Shrimp Studio has a home on the web. 🦐

deadshrimpstudio.com is live — a fast, minimal site built with Astro and served through Cloudflare’s network. Every page is statically generated and the whole thing deploys straight from git, so fixing a typo takes about a minute from commit to production. The way a tooling studio’s site should work.

What you’ll find here

  • Projects — proper pages for both released tools: gdshader-lsp-cpp, the only active, feature-complete GDShader language server (C++), and godot-http-server, an HTTP server in pure GDScript.
  • The roadmap — the pipeline is public too: gdextest, the GoogleTest-style test framework for C++ GDExtensions (now released!), then the big one, Godot Code Studio — a VS Code-style revamp of the built-in script editor — and later cogodot, real-time collaboration built to synergize with it.
  • This blog — devlogs will land here as development progresses. If you want them in your reader, there’s an RSS feed.
  • Sponsor page — since day one, everything here is free tooling for the community. Sponsors are what make that sustainable.

What’s next

The next devlogs will come straight from the Godot Code Studio trenches. If you’ve ever wished the Godot script editor behaved like your IDE, that’s the project to watch.

And if a shrimp tool has saved you time: sponsoring the studio goes directly into development hours. Patreon and Ko-fi are live, GitHub Sponsors is coming soon.

See you in the devlogs. 🦐
